One Setup. Complete Parts.
Turn-mill machining — also called multi-tasking or mill-turn — combines CNC turning with live milling, drilling, and threading on a single machine. For you, that means fewer setups, tighter feature-to-feature accuracy, and significantly shorter lead times.
We operate Swiss-type sliding headstock machines (CITIZEN A-series) for slender, complex parts down to Ø0.5 mm, as well as fixed-headstock turn-mill centers for larger-diameter work up to Ø150 mm — giving us coverage across a wide range of part families.
- Simultaneous turning, milling, drilling, and threading
- Swiss-type sliding headstock for long, slender parts
- Off-center features, cross-holes, flats, and polygons in one cycle
- High-volume production with Ø0.5–150 mm bar stock range
- Full OD/ID finishing, contouring, and thread-milling
From Drawing to Delivered Part
Engineering Review & DFM
We evaluate your drawings for machinability. Our engineers flag tolerance stack-ups, feature conflicts, or material choices that could affect cost or quality — before we cut a single chip.
Quoting & Confirmation
You receive a detailed quote within 24–48 hours covering material, cycle time, finishing, and inspection requirements. No hidden charges.
First Article & Sample
We machine a first-article run, perform full dimensional inspection, and share a comprehensive report. Parts are shipped only after your approval.
Production & In-Process QC
Full-production runs are monitored at every station. IPQC inspections, SPC where required, and lot traceability maintained throughout.
Final Inspection & Shipment
100% or AQL inspection before packing. CMM reports, material certs, and any required certificates of conformance ship with every order.

The Numbers That Matter on the Shop Floor
Every machine in our turn-mill cell is verified and maintained to the tolerances listed here. These aren’t marketing numbers — they’re what our CMM reports confirm, order after order.
Dimensional Tolerance
±0.005 mm standard across our Swiss-type and fixed-headstock platforms. Tighter tolerances (±0.002 mm) achievable on specific features — discuss during DFM review.
Bar Stock Range
From Ø0.5 mm to Ø150 mm in a single facility. Swiss-type machines handle the fine end; fixed-headstock and turn-mill centers handle everything up to 150 mm OD.
Surface Finish
Standard machined finish Ra ≤ 0.8 μm. Honed surfaces achieve Ra ≤ 0.2 μm. Electropolish available for process-contact surfaces.
Measurement Accuracy
CMM accuracy to ±0.001 mm (Mitutoyo). All gauges and instruments maintained under ISO 10012-certified calibration system.
Inspection Systems We Run on Every Order
We don’t rely on final inspection to catch problems — we build quality into the process. Our inspection infrastructure includes CMM, 2D/2.5D optical systems, CCD automatic sorters, and in-process gauging throughout every production run.

Why Choose Us?
Single-Setup Complexity
Turn-mill machining eliminates the inter-operation transfer errors that accumulate in conventional multi-step manufacturing. You get tighter true position and better feature-to-feature relationships — at no additional cost.
Deep Machine Inventory
With 54+ dedicated turn-mill machines from CITIZEN, MAZAK, and TSUGAMI, we can run multiple programs simultaneously. A tight deadline on one job doesn’t crowd out your next delivery.
Range from Micro to Large
We go from Ø0.5 mm pogo pins and connector contacts all the way to Ø150 mm valve bodies and flanges. Most suppliers make you choose — we cover the full spectrum under one relationship.
Multi-Standard Certification
IATF 16949 for automotive. AS9100D for aerospace. ISO 10012 for measurement. Most suppliers hold one — we hold all three. Your quality team’s audit gets simplified, not complicated.
End-to-End Control
We control machining, honing, electropolishing, plating, and inspection in our network. Fewer handoffs mean fewer sources of variability — and one point of accountability for you.
Transparent Engineering Partnership
We don’t just confirm your drawing and quote — we tell you if something looks difficult, suggest design modifications that reduce cost or improve quality, and document everything in a formal DFM report.
Common Questions
In a Swiss-type (sliding headstock) machine, the bar stock slides axially through a guide bushing while the tools remain stationary. This provides excellent rigidity close to the cut, making it ideal for long, slender parts (typically L/D > 3:1) from Ø0.5 to Ø32 mm. Fixed-headstock turn-mill machines are better suited for shorter, larger-diameter parts up to Ø150 mm that don't require the guide bushing's support. We have both types, and our engineers will recommend the right platform for your part geometry during the DFM phase.
First article lead time is typically 10–20 working days depending on part complexity, material availability, and whether any special tooling is required. After first article approval, production lead times vary from 15–45 working days based on order quantity and machine scheduling. We provide a confirmed schedule at the quoting stage, and we hold to it — on-time delivery is a KPI we track at 100%.
Our standard production tolerance is ±0.005 mm across all turn-mill platforms. For critical features — bearing fits, bore diameters, pin contacts — we achieve ±0.002 mm with dedicated setup and gauging. Geometric tolerances (roundness, cylindricity, true position) are held to ±0.003 mm standard. We always recommend bringing us into the design stage so we can flag any features that push the process to its limits and suggest alternatives if appropriate.
We don't have a fixed minimum order quantity. For prototype and first article runs, quantities as low as 5–20 pieces are common. For high-volume production on Swiss-type machines, typical runs are in the thousands to hundreds of thousands. Pricing scales accordingly — we'll give you the unit economics for each volume tier in your quote so you can make an informed decision on inventory vs. call-off arrangements.
A 2D technical drawing in PDF or DXF format with full GD&T callouts is the minimum. A 3D CAD file (STEP or IGES) is strongly preferred for complex parts — it eliminates interpretation ambiguity and speeds up our DFM review. We also need material specification, surface finish requirements, and quantity needed. If you only have a sketch or a sample part, reach out anyway — we can work from physical samples for reverse engineering.
Our manufacturing partners are based in mainland China. We are transparent about this — if your program has ITAR restrictions or requires specific US-export controls, you need to verify that with your compliance team before engaging us. For programs without such restrictions, our AS9100D certification and full lot traceability systems are well suited to aerospace supply chain requirements.
Yes. We coordinate electroless nickel plating, electropolishing, anodizing (Type II and III), zinc plating, passivation, and honing through our partner network. Every finishing step is covered by the same lot traceability system as the machining operation. You receive a single set of documents covering the complete manufacturing history of your parts.
Standard documentation includes a certificate of conformance, material test reports (mill certs), and dimensional inspection report (CMM or optical measurement). For automotive programs we can provide PPAP documentation up to Level 3. For aerospace, full first article inspection reports per AS9100D. RoHS test reports from our XRF analyzer are available on request. All documents are traceable to the specific lot shipped.
